What is this piece made from?
Every ZEITWORKS piece is made from the original interior of a specific vintage car, or from authorised reproductions of period factory textiles. Each piece is cut and assembled by hand in our studio in Snow Road Station, Ontario.
Is each piece unique?
Heritage pieces are one-of-one — built from the original interior of a single car. When that material is finished, no second piece exists. Signature pieces are made in small batches from authorised reproductions of factory textiles.
Can the piece be repaired or restored?
Yes. We have worked with leather and automotive textiles for nearly twenty years and can advise on care, repair, and restoration. Write to info@zeitworks.ca.
How does shipping and returns work?
Orders are processed within 72 hours and shipped from our Ontario studio. Returns are accepted within 72 hours of receipt, in original condition. Sale items and custom pieces are final sale.

The Cayenne was the most controversial Porsche ever launched and the single most consequential business decision in the company's history. Developed in partnership with Volkswagen — sharing its platform with the VW Touareg and the original Audi Q7 — and built at a new Leipzig plant Porsche constructed for the purpose, the first-generation Cayenne arrived in 2003 to a chorus of enthusiast outrage. By 2008 it was outselling every other Porsche model combined and was funding the development of the 991 911, the Panamera, and eventually the Taycan.
Wendelin Wiedeking, the CEO who pushed the project through against significant internal opposition, was vindicated within five years. The Cayenne Turbo became the school-run vehicle of the early-2000s European new rich. The Cayenne S was the standard option of the American suburban professional. Top Gear spent the better part of a decade alternately mocking it and quietly admitting it was very good at what it did.
Porsche built the first-generation 9PA Cayenne from 2003 to 2010 with a mid-cycle facelift in 2008. The Leipzig-fitted leather interiors, in the Cayenne's distinctive deep-bolstered seating, remain the period statement of the SUV that saved one of the great sports car brands by becoming the thing the brand had spent fifty years saying it would never build.
